Sophia Cantizano is a licensed acupuncturist, board-certified in acupuncture and herbal medicine. She graduated summa cum laude with a master's degree in Acupuncture and Herbal Medicine from the Acupuncture & Integrative Medicine College in Berkeley, and holds a bachelor's degree from Columbia University.
Her clinical focus spans orthopedic acupuncture and internal medicine, including reproductive health, digestive concerns, stress-related conditions, and hormonal balance. Her sports medicine background includes an internship with the UC Berkeley Athletic Department treating Olympic and collegiate athletes, and ongoing orthopedic training under Dr. Anthony Von der Muhll. She has also volunteered at the Charlotte Maxwell Clinic, providing care to underserved women in cancer treatment.
Treatments are tailored to each individual and may include electro-acupuncture, herbal medicine, trigger point needling when appropriate, and complementary therapies such as cupping and gua sha, with nervous system regulation emphasized throughout.
