FAQs

  • Acupuncture is a practice rooted in Traditional Chinese Medicine that uses thin, sterile needles inserted into specific points on the body to activate your body’s natural healing processes. It helps balance energy, stimulate recovery, and target the root cause of your symptoms. By enhancing the flow of Qi (energy) through meridians, acupuncture improves circulation and supports optimal nervous system function.

  • Acupuncture is typically a comfortable experience for most people. The needles are incredibly thin, about the width of a human hair. While you might occasionally feel a slight pinch or tingling, the process is usually painless, and many find it deeply relaxing.

  • Your first visit includes a detailed consultation to understand your health history, concerns, and wellness goals. Afterwards, you'll receive a personalized treatment, such as acupuncture or other therapies, tailored to your needs.

  • Prepare by eating a light meal and staying hydrated. Wear loose, comfortable clothing, and arrive a few minutes early to give yourself time to settle in before your session.

  • This varies depending on your condition and wellness goals. Acute issues may resolve within a few sessions, while chronic concerns typically require ongoing treatment. We'll create a personalized plan based on your needs.

  • Acupuncture is generally very safe. Some people may experience mild side effects, such as slight bruising, lightheadedness, or temporary soreness at the needle site. These effects are usually brief and resolve quickly. Most clients feel relaxed and rejuvenated after their treatment.

  • Yes, acupuncture is safe for both children and pregnant women. Treatments are always tailored to their specific needs. For children, we use gentle techniques and shorter sessions, while for pregnant women, we focus on supporting a healthy pregnancy and avoid points that are contraindicated.
